Long Haul Flight Tips

Long Haul Flight Tips | How to Cope With Long Haul Flights | Long Haul Flight Travel Tips | Long Haul Flights |

That much longed for holiday is fast approaching but you may have some concerns about how to cope with the flight.

Let’s face it few of us can afford to travel business or first class so we shall try and help you travel more comfortably in your economy seat with a selection of travel tips.

1.    Wear Comfortable loose Clothing

Layering is possibly the best option to enable you to cope with the varying temperatures on the plane (and the airports), possibly jogging bottoms and t-shirt coupled with a jumper or sweatshirt are always a good bet. Bolder travellers may change into pj’s, but again you should wear what is comfortable for you.

2.    Always wear something on your feet

It is essential that you try to keep shoes on where possible on the flight as feet can swell and if they do it may be difficult to get shoes back on so loose shoes or lightweight sandals would be perfect.

 3.    Keep Moving

DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) thankfully affects very few passengers but it is always best to take precautions. There are certain factors which may possibly play a part (but are not proven) include: reduced cabin pressure, reduced oxygen levels in the plane, slight dehydration caused by not drinking enough water, together with drinking too many alcoholic drinks and immobility.

Try to get up from your seat at regular intervals, even if that is simply a trip to the toilet to freshen up.

4. Basic Toiletries

Even with liquid security restrictions in place, there is still room in your hand luggage for essential toiletries.

You are restricted to 100ml bottles in a clear plastic bag and filled with your favourite lotions and potions, can prove to be great for freshening up on the plane.

5. Avoiding Puffy Eyes

Try and sleep when you can even it’s just a cat nap. It is best to block out any light and an eye mask is just perfect for the job.

Not only do Eye Masks block out the light they can also have a relaxing effect on the eyes and lavender filled Eye Masks can help soothe puffy and tired eyes. – so just lie back and relax!

6. Use Cushions

To help ease lower back pain, place one of the pillows provided between your lower back (just below your ribs) and the seat. If you are trying to get some sleep do support your neck - you can use your own inflatable neck pillow or scrunch one provided by the airline.

Handbag Liner | Handbag Organiser | Liners For Handbags |

There are definitely things in life that fall into the category of "I didn’t know I needed that until I had one" (the opposite of having a man in your life you thought you needed but you actually didn’t!). Well a handbag liner is one of those things, you manage well enough, either carrying the same bag for weeks on end or endlessly transferring the entire contents from bag to bag.

Here at Posh we have become handbag liner converts!  It took awhile to get used to popping all our essentials- phone, purse, lipstick etc into the little compartments but after a week or so we were hooked and now we can admire each others vast collection of handbags!
